1. Do I need to join as a member to have access to information in this site?

Definitely. This is a membership site for people in the property sector or those interested in property or even for those just curious to know more about the property industry.

2. How much will it cost me to join as a member?

You don't have to pay a single penny to join our ever growing community. However, do hurry and sign up as a member for free now because we may be implementing a membership fee structure in the near future. Only the first 500 members who sign up now will be entitled to a free membership at Brilliant Property for life. Why not sign up now? It is very easy and takes only a few minutes.

3. Are there any requirements that I must meet to be a member?

There is only one requirement - you need to be over 18 years of age. Other than that, anyone can join Brilliant Property to find out how to enrich their lives through property investment.

4. So, if I do not know anything about property, I can still join as a member?

Of course. We at, Brilliant Property, strongly believe in inspiring and enriching lives through networking, education and buying and selling investment property. In this site, you will find ample information suitable for property investors, sellers, mortgage lenders, property service agents, other professionals like lawyers and surveyors and even the person on the street who merely wants to know more about property investment.

5. What is a username?

This is the name you provide for other members to identify you within our Brilliant Property community. You can choose any name you want and it does not necessarily have to be your real name if you prefer to remain anonymous. You also have the option to change your username although it is not advisable as this may confuse the contacts you may have made in this website using the earlier username.

6. Can I change the information in my Profile Page?

You have the liberty to change any of the information that you had provided earlier, anytime.

7. Can I invite my friends or other investors to join this site?

The more the merrier! By inviting more people to join this site, you are actually doing them a great favour by helping them to learn more about property investment and become part of a growing network of professionals in the property industry.

8. What do I get if I invite others to join this site?

You will be able to widen your network in the Brilliant Property community and indirectly, you will learn more about property investment, share more knowledge and even get some great deals. On top of that, we also reward you for each member you referred to us. For each paid member who sign up with us, you will earn XX and for each free member who sign up with us through your referral, you will earn XX points which can be redeemed as advertisement space on Brilliant Property once you have accumulated XXX points.

9. I am having problems logging in.

This could be due to two things:

• a. You entered a different username than the one you signed up with
• b. You entered the wrong password.

If you have forgotten your username or password, simply click on the 'Forgot username' or 'Forgot password' link below the log in box. We will send you an email to verify that you had actually requested for a new password and your username before sending you a new temporary password and your username.

10. How do I change my username, email address and password?

You can go to My Account and click on Edit info and in that page, you will be able to edit all the information that you had provided when you signed up.

What is the purpose of this site?

Brilliant Property aims to inspire and enrich countless lives through property by networking, education and buying and selling investment property. This site is a close-knit community of everyone in the property industry to network and help each other in this industry.

Are there any rules to using this site?

Since this is a community-based site where members get to interact with each other and network to enrich each others' lives, we would appreciate if all members are to abide by these basic rulings:

1) No Hard Sell Solicitation - If upon joining, your first contact with any member was to send uninvited sales pitch, then it is wrong. We do not tolerate anyone who sent unwanted sales pitch or SPAM to our members. It is alright to enquire about a certain deal but not to send mass messages to all members hard selling your product. If you need to promote your product, consider taking up a space in our site, it would get more attention than SPAMMING other members.

2) Show some respect - We do NOT tolerate any hatred, profanity, nudity, pornographic materials or stalking. Please help out by reporting any inappropriate postings by other members.

3) Be sincere and honest - This website is specifically for members to share experiences and learn from one another. If you contribute false or dishonest information, it will only reflect badly on you and affect your own property investment business.

Can I advertise on this site?

Yes. Anyone with a product or service to offer can advertise here. Our community is always growing so if you were to advertise here, you will be reaching out to many others in the property industry in UK. To find out more about advertising with us, click here.

What about adding my property to your property listings here? Do you charge for that too?

No. It is absolutely free to list your property in Brilliant Property. It is a service we offer to all property owners and sellers.

What is a Message?

Messages are private notes, like an email message, that you can send to another member. You are allowed to send unlimited Messages to members of the site and those in our Contacts.

What are Contacts?

Contacts are members are linked to you. You can add another member to your Contacts by clicking on "Add to Contacts" in the contact panel on their Profile page.

What is a Comment?

A comment is a statement or opinion left by a member in profile pages and forums which can be viewed by all users of the website.

 

FORUMS

Do I have to register and why?

You will need to register as a member to be able to participate in the forum. Registration is free and easy too. Once registered, you will be able to:

* Post new topics

* Reply to other peoples' topics

* Edit your posts

* Receive email notification of replies to posts and topics you specify

* Send messages to other members

To register, you will need to specify a username and password, and a valid email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address, and messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender.

What are email notifications and subscriptions?

If you post a new topic, or reply to an existing topic, you can choose to be notified by email when someone else replies to that topic. You can also choose to receive email notifications of new posts in a topic without posting in that topic, by clicking the 'Subscribe to this topic' link displayed in the topic page. If you choose to stop receiving email notifications from a topic, you can turn off the option by either editing your post, or by unsubscribing from the topic here. Only registered users may receive email notification.

 

PRIVACY AND ABUSE

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. We respect our members' privacy and take every step to ensure your personal information is secure. Your email address and personal info will never be sold or shared with any other party without your permission. Our website is checked regularly to ensure the security of our community.

What do I do if I saw inappropriate content by another member?

We have created a flagging system to easily report any content or actions that do not abide by our Community Rules. Simply click on "Report Item" to notify us of the problem and we will see to it promptly. We appreciate our Members taking the time to report problems to ensure our community continues to grow and improve.

Another member is bothering me, what should I do?

We have a 'Block user' feature so you could use this by going to their profile and click on the Block User link. This way it will prevent them from viewing your profile page. However, it they continue to bother you, drop us a line and we will contact the member on your behalf. We do not encourage unwanted solicitation so do take action immediately.
